1. The service
Mini Magic Press ("we", "us") lets you generate personalised children's picture books using artificial intelligence. The free pre-made books and the paid custom-book generator are provided for personal, family use.
2. Accounts
You must be 18+ to hold an account and are responsible for activity under it and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information. We use a third-party authentication provider (Supabase) to manage logins; we do not store your password.
3. AI-generated content
Stories are generated with a large language model (via Groq) and images with an image model (via fal.ai). Output is produced automatically and is provided "as is": it may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or unexpected, and the same input can produce different results. You should review every generated book before showing it to a child.
4. Content standards & moderation
You agree not to submit, or attempt to make the service produce, content that is sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate for children, and not to submit personal information about identifiable children. We apply automated moderation to your input, the generated text, and the generated images on a reasonable best-efforts basis. We do not guarantee that moderation will catch everything, and we may refuse, remove, or stop generating content at our discretion. You can report a problem book to us and we will review it.
5. Payments, credits and refunds
Credits are purchased through Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details. One credit generates one custom book. New accounts receive one free credit. Prices are shown before purchase. Failed generations are automatically refunded as a credit. Completed generations are non-refundable except where required by law. Purchased credits expire 12 months after the date of purchase, and we will email a reminder before they expire. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.
6. Your content and ownership
You retain the rights you have in the prompts you submit. Subject to the terms of our AI providers, we assign to you whatever rights we have in the book generated for you, for your personal, non-commercial use. You are responsible for ensuring your prompts do not infringe anyone else's rights. We may retain copies of generated books in your library and keep logs for safety, debugging, and abuse-prevention.
7. Privacy (summary — see full Privacy Policy)
We collect your email, login metadata, purchase records, the prompts you submit, and the books generated for you. We process this to provide the service, take payment, moderate content, and prevent abuse, and we share necessary data with our processors (Supabase, Cloudflare, Stripe, Groq, fal.ai). We keep data only as long as needed and you may request access to or deletion of your data. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
8. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, and without limiting your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the content of AI-generated books, which you are responsible for reviewing before use.
9. Suspension
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or attempt to misuse the generator.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified and will require re-acceptance. The current version and your acceptance date are recorded.
